Equity Starts Here — In Our Neighborhoods

We envision an America where local, state and federal governments serve all people equitably, where democratic institutions function with integrity, and where the promise of justice and opportunity extends to every community regardless of race, wealth, life preferences or status.

A Coalition Rooted in Community

Neighborhoods 4 Equity is a grassroots community coalition dedicated to preserving democratic principles and combating injustice. Neighborhoods 4 Equity provides a safe place for neighbors and friends to discuss and strategically plan ways we can best support organizations and/or individuals who believe in a democratic society.

Neighborhoods 4 Equity was founded in 2025 by diverse residents of Windsor Hills, View Park, Ladera Heights and Baldwin Hills. Our coalition brings together people from various backgrounds including veterans, public servants, educators, healthcare administrators, social workers and business owners. We are guided by our belief in the tenets of diversity, equity and inclusion in every aspect of our lives.

What We Stand For

Democracy

We believe democratic institutions must function with transparency, accountability and integrity — for every person, in every community.

Equity

Justice and opportunity must reach every neighborhood, regardless of race, wealth, background or status.

Inclusion

A thriving democracy requires the full participation of all people. Every voice matters. Every neighbor counts.

Community

Change starts at the local level. We organize, connect and act together to build the communities we deserve.

Community – Our Neighborhoods, Our Power

We are proudly rooted in the communities of Windsor Hills, View Park, Ladera Heights and Baldwin Hills — historically significant Los Angeles neighborhoods with a legacy of Black excellence, civic leadership and community pride. That legacy inspires everything we do.
